About this blog (and us)



Have you ever noticed brands in a movie? For example, in the movie Forrest Gump, Tom Hanks drinks from a bottle Dr. Pepper and in the James Bond movies, the audience is exposed to the luxurious cars of Aston Martin. These products do not occur by accident, but this form of advertising is called ‘product placement’. 

We are all studying the Master Business Communication and Digital Media at the Tilburg University, situated in the Netherlands. This blog page is a part of a group assignment with respect to the course Digital Storytelling.

The aim of this blog is to make people aware of the meaning and consequences of product placement. This by providing emperical evidence and by showing videos and images of product placement. Finally, we hope that people can recognize product placement advertisements more easy.
